Indications for Meropenem

Antibiotics (carbapenem derivatives).
Complicated appendicitis or peritonitis caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Fragillis bacterioid, Tetiotamicron bacterioid, Peptostreptococcus, and also bacterial meningitis caused by Penofenos anus, Streptococcus aneurysm

Mechanism of action of meropenem

The drug inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. The drug rapidly penetrates into the cell wall of most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics of meropenem

The drug is distributed in most tissues of the body and CSF. The drug is only 2% bound to plasma proteins. The half-life in adults and children over 2 years is 1 hour and in children 3 months to 2 years 1.5 hours.

Contraindications:

In case of severe allergy to any of the beta-lactam drugs, the use of this drug is prohibited
