Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) is a white crystalline solid also known by other names such as sodium hydrogen carbonate, baking soda, Baking Soda, Cooking Soda, Bread Soda or Bicarbonate Soda. This salt is soluble in water and its solubility decreases in the presence of sodium carbonate, and is also found as a mixture in many minerals.
