Indications

Omeprazole is used to treat benign gastric and duodenal ulcers, Helicobacter pylori ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastric acid reduction in surgery, and short-term prevention of gastric contents recurrence and treatment of the disease.
It can be used to treat indigestion and reflex disease, as well as to prevent and treat NSAID-related wounds.
In people who need chronic NSAIDs, the amount of omeprazole does not decrease after the wound has healed because there is a possibility of asymptomatic wound progression.
It may mask the symptoms of stomach cancer, and in high-risk people, they should be checked for stomach cancer before starting treatment.
It can be used to reduce the breakdown of pancreatic enzyme supplements in patients with cystic fibrosis.
High doses of this drug are used to control gastric acid secretion in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
